The history of this enterprise goes back to pre-independence times. The psychological approach of British rulers was well-planned for implanting a servitude mindset among Indians to sustain their exploitative regime for longer time. Though Gandhiji's bias for prospective first prime minister of India was insatiable, however, he knew the large scale misuse of the poster name of Indian Freedom struggle. He suggested dismantling Indian National Congress and starting afresh political structures for India to be multi-party democratic country. It is a widely accepted fact that this fellow wanted to keep the power in his own hand and this unconvincing desire also helped in the formation of two states out of India, based on religion and religious fanaticism (‘direct action' of Muslime League).

In the last one month, cricket is the only sport that media's obsessed with. Team India's shameful exit from the ongoing T20 World Cup in the West Indies, too, has not stopped news channels from wasting their airtime on cricketers. Despite this shameful defeat, whole panel of former cricket players and sports journalists are meticulously and mercilessly taking part in the performance analysis of the cricketers on and off the cricket field on various channels condemning the cricketers. When the Indian team wins, the media wastes no time in again singing their praises.

All India Forgotten Women's Association (AIFWA), Andhra Pradesh Mothers-in-law Protection Association (APMPA), Save Indian Family Foundation (SIFF), All India Men's Welfare Association (AIMWA) are submitting a petition to the A.P. State Human Rights Commission regarding print and electronic media telecasting/publishing lies and half-truths about family disputes between husbands and wives in the name of news, and resorting to defamation of husbands and their family members by calling them criminals, crooks, cheats, frauds, blood-thirsty demons, money-hungry wolves, and similar terms merely based on the self-serving statements of a complainant wife, thus damaging the dignity of accused persons.

Indeed our parliamentarians are amongst lowest-paid in the world. There is no harm in increasing their honorariums (do not call salaries) to some respectable amount. But at the same time it should be ensured that they devote full and complete time in service of their voters and their constituencies by imposing a ban on Parliamentarians holding any post in their parties or even individual organisations.
