Indian umpire, Suresh Shastri, reached here on an exchange programme to officiate in Cricket South Africa's first class matches.

The ICC international panel umpire is the first in an exchange programme between CSA and the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
Mr Moabi Litekho, CSA's media spokesperson, said the programme was initiated by CSA General Manager of Cricket Operations, Brian Basson, with the outgoing BCCI Secretary, Niranjan Shah, in Malaysia early this year.
"CSA is confident that this international umpire exchange programme, whereby umpires are afforded the opportunity of officiating in premier first-class competitions in overseas countries, will assist participating nations in producing quality umpires for international recognition in the future," said Litekho.
Shastri is currently officiating in the match between Natal Dolphins and Lions at Sahara Kingsmead Stadium here.
He will also officiate in a match between the Warriors and Titans at Buffalo Park in East London.
CSA has also reached a similar agreement with New Zealand. PTI
