Paes-Dlouhy enter second round of US open |

After Sania Mirza and Somdev Devvarman's entry into the second round of the US Open championship at Flushing Meadows, there is more good news for the Indian tennis fans.
Indian doubles ace Leander Paes and his partner Lukas Dlouhy from Czechoslovakia have entered into the second round of the championship. The fourth seeded Indian-Czech pair defeated Romanian doubles team of Victor Hanescue and Grabriel Trifu in first round.
The match was hard fought as both Paes and Dlouhy displayed good coordination to win crucial points. They won both the sets in the tiebreaker with score reading 7-6 (11), 7-6 (4).
Mahesh Bhupathi, another Indian, who has paired with Knowles will the first match against Lovro Zovko of Croatia and American James Carretani. It is expected that Bhupathi and Knowles will also win their match as both players have shown good form in the run-up to US open.
Earlier, Sania Mirza on Monday defeated Olga Govortsova of Belarus 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, while Somdev managed to outdo Portugal's Frederico Gil 6-3, 6-4, 6-3.
