There are fewer announcements that almost everyone living in Delhi is familiar with, "Next station is..." or "Please mind the gap." In fact, as soon as one hears these, they immediately recall the Delhi Metro trains running across the city, from Dilshad Garden to Rithala, Jahangir Puri to Central Secretariat or Indraprastha to Dwarka sector nine.

Beneath the speakers that blare out these announcements from time to time is a sea of humans teeming with myriad emotions. If ignored their sounds seems like the buzzing of bees, but if one listens to it carefully, then we can find several spicy stories.

The travellers would be gossiping with their associates or friends about their business, every single one sounds like a sage of some land, talking and giving suggestions about their partner's problem with all conviction.

Couples often find some solace in spending time with each other on the platform or in the trains, trying to find moments to hold their partners. Then there are those travellers who either shout into their phones or make small whispers. There are also those who seem to be texting with such intense emotions, as if it is their last trip ever.

There as many different emotions and activities as there are travellers and one is treated to more as soon as the sliding doors of any train open. So, the next time you enter a metro station   remember, that you are entering a hub of emotions.
