Mussoorie is a place known for its green hills and fauna flora. Located about 34 kms from Dehradun, the beautiful hill station is located in Uttarakhand. One can enjoy an extraordinary view of Dehradun in the night, a superb scene of Doon valley and the Himalayan ranges.  

In 1827, a military officer, Captain Young found Mussoorie. It is a gateway to holy destinations like Gangotri and Yamunotri . Mussoorie is one of the best places to visit in Uttarakhand. It attracts tourists not only from all over India but also world.

Excellent climate, picturesque beauty and entertainment, make it an appealing holiday place. Thousands of tourists are fascinated by the Kempty falls which are 11 Kms from Mussoorie, on the Yamunotri Road. Camel's back hill, another popular tourist spot, gives a great view of famous peaks like Sri Kantha, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Bandar-poonch, and Nanda Devi, on a clear sky day. It is accessible via an electric trolley.

Gun Hill can be enjoyed by a similar ropeway ride. It is Mussoorie's second highest peak and offers a panoramic look of the Himalayan mountain range. Then, one can enjoy a relaxing picnic at the recently developed Mussoorie.

Dhanolti also provides a relaxed holiday experience by giving a fabolous valley view. It is 24 kms from the Mussoorie. Then, one may also go on a trek at Nagtibba, 34 kms from the hill station.

Do not forget to visit Lal Tibba, the highest point in Mussoorie. It is situated in Landour and offers a great landscape view, where one can see the snowy Himalayan peaks of Kedarnath and Badrinath.

Those looking for a spiritual experience, can visit the Surkanda Devi temple, situated near the village Kaddukhal at 3030 mts above the sea. Here, the Dussehra festivities are a must watch, as the Ganga Dussehra fair takes place every year in the month of May and June.
