India's corporate chiefs are most optimistic about growth prospects over the next 12 months, says a global survey of close to 1200 CEOs done by PricewaterhouseCoopers in Davos on Thursday.

According to Ian Powell, a senior partner at PwC, executives are a lot more confident than they were this time last year. He said that about 81 per cent of the CEOs interviewed felt they were very positive going ahead in the next 12 months about the growth opportunities.

Powell said that about 90 per cent of Indian CEOs believe that the recession is over and they see good growth prospects in the next 12 months. "They feel that a lot of growth is going to come from India itself, within India, not purely from the exports markets," he added.
