Specifications and hands-on photos of the new Samsung Wave, the Korean manufacturer's first Bada smartphone, have now been leaked, according to technology protal infosyncworld.com

As per the report DailyMobile has posted several hands-on photos and specifications of Samsung's first smartphone powered by Bada OS. The phone will be marketed as the Samsung Wave S8500, and should offer version 3.0 of Samsung's TouchWiz interface. Samsung also promises that it should be easy for third-party developers to take advantage of the new TouchWiz interface.

The Samsung Wave will sport a 3.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with 720p video recording as well as a 1GHz processor. When it comes to connectivity, the phone will boast Quad-band GSM, HSDPA and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, making it one of the first smartphones to offer Wireless-N connectivity.

Samsung recently promised to launch a Bada-powered smartphone in select markets this spring, though it's not known whether any U.S. carrier will be on-board from day one. All the major carriers are offering all-touch phones by Samsung though, and given Bada's focus on offering new opportunities to monetize mobile content on Samsung phones, it would certainly be a potential revenue source for carriers.

Based on the Samsung Wave's leaked specifications, it also looks like carriers will be able to offer this particular Bada phone at a mass-market price point.
