Nothing can change our erring Parliamentarians till stringent measures are taken against them for violation of norms and rules set for them. It is shocking and surprising why proceedings for breach of privileges are not initiated as per rules against those 110 Lok Sabha members who failed to submit details of their assets and wealth to Lok Sabha secretariat within mandatory 90 days of being member of the House.

Websites of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha should incorporate details of assets and wealth of their members together with that of their spouses and children separately for each year of their membership for a comparative study. Rather such details can be auto-lifted from website of Election Commission at least for initial year of their membership. Since many Parliamentarians (including even some ministers) spend lavishly on family-functions like marriages, birthdays and anniversaries, details of one-time expense by all Parliamentarians say rupees 50000 and above, should also be made public.

It should be compulsory for Parliamentarians to complete all personal data on websites like names of spouses, to effectively check situations like taking girl-friend on official trip in name of wife!
