Cabinet approves PPP model for Jaipur metro Bookmark and Share

Rajasthan cabinet has approved of the public private partnership (PPP) model for Rs 7,500-crore metro project in Jaipur. The new proposal will now be forwarded to the Centre for consideration.  

However, E Shreedharan would continue to remain the technical advisor of the project.

According to urban development department of the state, "A revised proposal will soon be forwarded to the Centre, tenders inviting proposals from private contenders will be released after a formal approval from the Centre."

The state government has meanwhile sent teams to Hyderabad and Mumbai to study the private-partnership process being implemented there.
