Intel is set to bring wireless display which is popularly called (Wi-Di) technology to mobile devices including its notebooks and tablets, indiaserver.com reported on Monday. The reports quotes sources as saying that Wi-Di when plugged into a video output device, it receives video and audio streams wirelessly through Wi-Fi technology. It allows transferring images, videos and audio wirelessly from computer to a high-definition TV.It has been reported that Intel intends to make Wi-Di technology available on all the Intel platforms like notebooks and every other kind of mobile device and even TVs eventually. The Wi-Di technology is said to help end-users easily stream any HD media files they have in their mobile devices, according to reports. "What we want to do is have better out-of-box usage experience. What we'll be doing over the next few years is take the Wi-Di capability that's in the laptop today and extend that into all the Intel Platforms", said Paul Otellini in Bangalore on Monaday, CEO, Intel, sources said |
